Jonas Franck
Since I was born I have been influenced by all good music. My favorite artists from my young years are Iron Maiden, Duran Duran and Matchbox (rockabilly) who led me into the world of music in the early 80's.
I have studied classical, folk, pop & jazz, played bossanova with some Brazilians, headbanged with my trash & death metal mates, started a punk/grunge band and was signed and dropped from a label.
As a freelance musician and composer I have also done music for the stage, live TV, -radio, theater, film and work as a studio musician. Although during the last 20 years I have been more interested in the producing, mixing, engineering, writing aspect of music while working as a chef fulltime.
I use anything that can make a sound and whatever mic there is to record it with and the daw/mini/multi-recorder at hand. I still have a few own projects as an artist and do occasional gigs on demand as a musician.
Favorite gear: a p/j bass, a telecaster, a fast computer with lots of ram, a sm57 & a condenser and lots of coffee and fun.
IMy main inspiration, mentors and gurus have been and are Dave Pensado (Pensado's Place), Warren Huart (Produce like a Pro) , Graham Cochrane (Recording revolution) , Ian Shepherd (Production advice) and Gregory Scott (KUSH, UBK happy funtime hour) to name a few.
